Dr. Noha Gamal Bahey

 

I got my M,B,Ch,B. (excellent and honour degree) from  faculty of medicine, Tanta University, Egypt in 2002. I was a house officer in Tanta university hospital, Egypt from March 2003 to March 2004. Between May 2004 and 2007 I worked as a demonstrator in Histology department in Tanta medical school, Egypt. I got my master degree and became assistant lecturer in the same department on July 2007. I passed my MD exam on 2011 and I am now working on my MD thesis. I was a visitor student in institute of neuroscience and psychology, Glasgow university during 2010 before I got one year scholarship from the Egyptian government in 2011.

Research interest

 

Diabetes mellitus and its complications are the area of my main interest. Using an animal model of induced diabetes, I am trying to figure out the effect of this common disease on different body organs particularly the prostate. Alongside these studies we are investigating the effect of some drugs on prevention or amelioration of the pathological changes that take place during the course of this disease.
